| About me
A very wealthy man had the habit of picking up lost pennies and other coins.
Every time he did this, he stood still for a while, looking at the coin.
Then he would put it in his pocket and continue with what he was doing.
Someone once asked him about this: "You are so wealthy you don't need the coins you pick up. Why do you do that? And why do you first stare at the coin before putting it in your pocket?"
The rich man replied: "When I pick up a coin I look at the words, "In God We Trust," and I hear the Lord asking me, "Do you still trust Me?" I then reflect on whether I still trust God. Only when I am truly certain I still trust Him do I continue with my day."
This is such a beautiful story with a lesson each one of us can take to heart.
We are all dependent on God, whether we know it and acknowledge it or not.
Do we trust God at all times?
Do we trust Him when things are going well and when they are going badly?
Do we trust Him when it seems as if we don't really need Him, or only when we see no other way out of a situation?
And do we really trust Him when there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel?
Do we trust in Him as Someone who can do all things and handle all things?
Or do we doubt a little, thinking He is not capable of handling things that are going on in the world right now?
How big is your God?
Big enough to handle your problems?
Or do you see your problems as bigger that Him?
Take some time to examine your view of God. Reflect a bit on whether you truly trust Him, at all times.
Faith pleases God.
Put your trust in Him and allow Him to be the big God He truly is.
