God Thoughts

When we think about the crucifixion of Jesus, we normally think about His pain, both physical and emotional.

Though we haven't gone through a crucifixion ourselves, we can relate to His pain in a way because of some form of pain we have experienced ourselves.

But have you ever thought about the pain Daddy God must have experienced during this whole ordeal?

Think about this.

Jesus was separated from Him, and though it must have been excruciating for Jesus, it must have been the same for Daddy God.

Jesus, who knew no sin, was made sin on our behalf. I cannot even imagine how that must have been for Jesus. But the Word says the One who made Him to be sin was Daddy God Himself (2 Corinthians 5:21)!

Put yourself in His shoes.

You are a parent.

You love your child.

But then you choose to do something utterly imaginable to that child because of your love for someone else.

Can you see how difficult it must have been?

Can you see the love Daddy God has for us to allow His Son to go through everything He went through, and to stand by and see it happen without lifting a finger to stop it?

To know this is the only way for us to be saved, for us to be reunited with Him, for us to become His children.

And to go through with it because He knew it will be the very best for us to be one with Him and to know Him.

Even though the Word doesn't tell us about the pain of God, I am certain there must have been a lot of pain involved.

And to think both Daddy God and Jesus did it because They love us so very much.

As you go into this Easter weekend, focus on Jesus and what He did for each one of us when He died in our place.

But keep in mind what Daddy God did and His role in what happened.

Then thank Them both for what They did for you. And thank the Holy Spirit for making what Jesus had done a reality in your life.

May you be very blessed this Easter!
