"For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven."
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Every one of us is in a different season of life. Some are in a season of growth, some in a season of pruning. And some are in a season of bearing fruit.

Whatever season you are in, it is important to remember that each season is necessary.

Just take a look at your garden. Winter is a time of rest. Nothing much happens in the garden. But then spring comes around, and all the trees come to life. Leaves and blossoms pop up everywhere. The rich soil, sunshine and rain provide the garden with the necessary nutrients, and before long, all the trees are filled with ripening fruit. During fall the leaves turn the most beautiful colours and then winter rolls around again, and the plants go into their rest phase.

In life, the same thing happens.

You are only a child for a season. During that season you go through many seasons as you grow and learn, become stronger and more mature.

Young adulthood also lasts only for a season, as does the time you raise your children. And during these seasons you also experience season upon season of growth, pruning, fruit-bearing, etc.

And so the seasons pass, one after the other. Some seasons are more difficult than others. Some are filled with joy and laughter, while others are filled with pain and sadness.

But we always have the guarantee that the season will only last for so long. No season lasts a whole lifetime, even when we want them to!

What season are you currently experiencing?

Enjoy it. Make the most of it. Remember, it will come to an end, and you will only have the memory of it.

Don't waste your seasons.

Some of them only come around once!
