| About me
It is the first morning in our new home.
I wake up earlier than I planned on. Moving is a lot of hard work, and I am tired, so I actually wanted to sleep just a little bit later than usual.
However, this doesn't happen.
Maybe it is because of the new surroundings, maybe I am just overtired.
Birds singing - that is the first thing I am aware of as I wake up from a deep sleep.
I hear hundreds of different voices, all singing together to welcome the day.
No, not welcome the day - they are actually offering up praises to the Lord.
If we were able to understand their bird language, I am sure one would hear them sing things like: "God is so good, He takes care of us every day."
Maybe there are some of them praising Him for keeping them safe from predators during the night.
Others could be thanking Him for helping them raise their little ones, soon to leave the nest.
They could be thanking the Lord for caring about them so much He actually knows when one of them dies.
Or maybe they are all singing the same thing: Praising their Creator for being God.
As I listen to their beautiful noise my own heart fills with joy and thanksgiving.
I see the hand of the Lord in every area of my life.
I see Him leading and guiding me.
I see Him teaching me as I sit at His feet.
I see Him answer my prayers.
I see Him taking care of me and protecting me.
I see so many of His blessings.
So I join in with the birds, praising the Lord for who He is and what He has done and is doing in my life.
