We've been talking about Satan, the father of lies, and how he uses lies to derail us and keep us from moving forward in the will of God.

The lie we are going to talk about today is this: It will never change!

Oh, how he enjoys using this one on us. He uses a circumstance or situation, and sometimes even another person, to make our lives difficult. And then he whispers his lie: "This will never change!" or "He/she will never change!"

Falling for his lie means he convinces us the situation will remain the same. Or we believe the person we have trouble with will stay the way he/she is.

But that is not necessarily the case.

Situations change. Even people change. Only a few things last forever: God. Our spirit man. God's Word. God's love.

But circumstances aren't one of those 'everlasting' things. It can change in the blink of an eye.

We can bring our circumstances to the Lord in prayer and lay them down at His feet. We can search the Word for promises that cover our circumstances and confess it over our lives. We can trust the Lord to help us and change things around.

Romans 8:28 assures us God is working in all things for the good of those who love Him. He can turn around any situation and use it for your good and His glory.

He can even change people! Here, however, the person needs to cooperate with the Lord before change happens. We all have free will and God never overrides our will. A person must want to change and then work with the Lord to effect change. But it is possible.

Are you currently in a situation you are convinced will never change?

Don't listen to this lie from Satan any longer.

Place your trust in the Lord.

Look up Scripture to pray over your situation and speak over your life.

God is right there with you. He is there to help you and change you and those around you. And He wants to change any situation in your life that doesn't line up with His will for you. This may take time, but don't despair. Just keep trusting the Lord and confessing the Word.

Remember, the sun rises every morning and dispels the darkness. In the same way the light will break through in the situation you are facing and change will come.

Trust the Lord to bring about the change. He will not disappoint you!
