God Thoughts

Jesus was very adamant about it.

He said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6).

He conveyed this truth using different words and pictures when He spoke to different people.

To Nicodemus He said: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God... For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:3;16-18).

To the Samaritan woman at the well He said: "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life" (John 4:13-14).

To the crowd He said: "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).

He called Himself the Light of the world: "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life" (John 8:12).

He also called Himself the Bread of life: "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst" (John 6:35).

And He called Himself the resurrection and the life: "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die" (John 11:25-26).

During the three years Jesus was in ministry, He told the people the same thing over and over again.

He explained to them in parables and pictures, but also in words that were plain to understand the one truth we all need to know.

The truth is: Jesus is the Saviour.

There is no other person that can save us.

There is no other way to be saved but through Him.

Only by having faith in Him will we be saved.

Jesus gave His life so the world can be saved. Let us go and proclaim this message to everyone around us. Let us live our lives in such a way that others can see Him in us.

Don't keep this wonderful news about the Saviour of the world to yourself anymore, but be a witness of what Jesus had done for you!
