I LOVE THEM

It is exactly 14:01 and I don't have anything to write about to post on the God thoughts web page.

"Lord, I don't know what to write about!"

Silence.

"Lord, what do You want to say to them?"

"I love them."

Memory kicks in and I remember Joyce Meyer's story of one of the first conferences she did. She asked the Lord what she was to preach on, imagining He would give her a wonderful new revelation to share with the people.

"Tell them I love them," God answered.

Joyce wasn't impressed.

"Lord, they know You love them," she said.

And God answered something along the lines of, "If they really knew how much I loved them, they would live quite different lives."

So, here goes.

God loves you.

No really, He loves you!

He loves you... and you... and you... and you.

He loves you so much He was prepared to give His Son to die in your place so He could have you back in relationship with Him.

In fact, the Word says Daddy God loves you just as much as He loves Jesus: "I am in them and You are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me and that You love them as much as You love Me" (John 17:23).

He loves you so much He has a perfect plan for you life: "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" (Jeremiah 11:29).

He loves you with a love that is everlasting, a love that is unconditional, because He is love.

His love for you is bigger than you can imagine. In fact, His love for you is so great you have to ask Him to help you to grasp just how wide and long and high and deep it is.

You can rest in His love, you can hide in it as a little chick hides under the wings of its mother.

He wants to surround you with His love, if you will let Him.

Maybe you don't feel His love. If that is the case, go to Him and ask Him to open your eyes and to help you see His love for you in your daily life.

Sit with Him a while and allow Him to pour out His love on you.

God loves you.

It will never change.

Let Him love you today!
