The other day I was chatting with some friends when one of the ladies mentioned she feels God is a 99 God, meaning He always shows up at the last minute.

That got me thinking.

While it is true that God doesn't always show up at the precise moment we want Him to; it is also true that He is never late.

Now think about this: what if God had a reason for showing up at the last minute?

How much faith would we need if God gave us what we asked for the minute we say Ďamen' after our prayer? Would we need to trust Him at all?

But when it takes time for our prayers to be answered, we have to exercise our faith, and we have to turn away from the temptation to jump in and help ourselves. In fact, we have to exercise faith and patience, as Hebrews 6:12 instruct us.

God is not stingy. He isn't withholding any good thing from us: "
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. O LORD of Heaven's Armies, what joy for those who trust in you" (Psalm 84:11-12).

The Lord only asks us to ask for the things we want and need. Then He asks us to believe He hears us when we pray and to believe He will answer those prayers. And when the going gets tough and to all appearances, it seems as if God isn't going to do something in time; He asks us to be patient and to keep believing. When we fully trust in Him, He does what needs to be done at exactly the right time, and we are filled with joy because of our experience with Him.

What have you been praying for? Has your prayer been answered yet? If it hasn't, don't give in to the temptation to give up on your faith. Keep believing.

He will not disappoint you if you keep on trusting Him regardless of what you see, feel or hear.
