DON'T KEEP IT TO YOURSELF, TELL SOMEONE!

We are so blessed to be able to read and write. We are blessed to have a translation of the Bible in a language we can understand. We are blessed to live in a country where we can go to church without fear. We are blessed to be able to listen to the Word on the radio, television, CD, DVD, or on an app on our phone or computer.

We are blessed to have many ways to read and hear the truth from God's Word.

I was thinking about this when I read Romans 10:13-15: "
For 'Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.' But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, 'How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!'"

What Paul wrote here is true not only of salvation but of every promise in the Word.

We have to know what God has promised. Then we have to believe those promises. And then we will see them manifested in our lives.

We are blessed to have many different ways to get in the Word, but not everyone is that fortunate.

Some people have never learnt to read or write. Some live in very remote places, and they don't often see people from the ‘outside' world. Some languages are difficult to translate, so there may not even be a Bible translated into that language yet.

The point is, if we don't step out of our comfort zone and begin to tell people about Jesus, many will never know. If we don't share God's promises with them, they will never know.

It's sad that we tell people about Jesus and how to be saved, but then we stop there. We neglect to walk the rest of the journey with them and tell them, little by little, about the rest of God's blessings which is theirs in Christ. So they never know. And they can't believe something without knowing about it first.

And then we wonder why all God's promises don't get fulfilled in the lives of many of His children.

That's why. It's because they don't know about the promises because no one ever told them.

What has God taught you lately? Can you share it with someone else?

Is there a promise in the Word that's had an impact in your life? Have you told anyone else, so they too know what God has promised?

Do you know a baby in Christ with whom you can walk a journey to teach him or her about Jesus and the Father, about the Holy Spirit and the Word, and about all God's promises?

How can someone call on the Lord unless they believe in Him?

How can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him?

And how can they hear about Him and about all His wonderful promises unless someone tells them?

Jesus sent us to make disciples of all the nations and to teach them to obey His commands (Matthew 28:18-20). Let us take that commission seriously and do what He's told us to do. Don't just walk a journey with someone till he's born again and then abandon him. Keep walking with him, teaching him to be a disciple and to obey. And don't forget to teach him about the promises of God.

He won't be able to believe God's promises if no one tells him about it, will he?

So go out and tell someone!
